It's a tradition in Shaunavon and area that happens every year at this time.

The Longest Day of Golf, one of the biggest fundraising events for the South West Chronic Disease Support Group, is happening this Sunday June 20.

Peggy Ross from the South West Chronic Disease Support Group explains, "The idea is to play as many holes of golf as you can on the longest day of the year, which is June 21. The guys have decided now to golf on June 20  just because of work schedules."

Golfing will be done in Shaunavon, Eastend, Gull Lake, and Frontier, with all proceeds going to assist those who have a chronic disease and have to travel to access medical care.

You can pledge the golfers directly, or contact any Chronic Disease Support Group Board member to donate.
