In the September 14 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of eight new cases of the virus in the province.

Of the eight new cases there are six located in the Saskatoon zone, one in the South West zone, and one in the South Central zone.

Three cases from the past week have been removed, one case was deemed to be a false positive and two were determined to be out of provinces cases.

That brings the provincial total of active cases in Saskatchewan to 1,731, of which 103 are considered active.

In the South West zone there are a total of 4 active cases.

Investigations completed thus far have found that 34 of the 99 current active cases are from communal living settings.

There is one more recovery today, bringing that provincial total to 1,604.

Three people are in hospital. all receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.

There have been 24 deaths related to COVID-19 reported thus far in the  province.

To date, 160,275 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

Yesterday 1,819 COVID-19 tests were done.
