As winter draws nearer, the Salvation Army is once again collecting food and money for those in need.

This past weekend, at the Bronco game, The Salvation Army collected 300 pounds of food and raised about $125.

Captain Paul Loner says the donations were a good start to the winter food drive. They will officially kick-off the Christmas Kettle Campaign and Food Drive on November 25th.

The Salvation Army is also trying to organize a Homework Club for students needing an academic boost.

Captain Loner says this program can only work with community involvement.

The Salvation Army is currently looking for volunteers to take part in their after-school Homework Club. You can call 778-0515 and ask for Jennifer.
