Saskatchewan Hail Insurance companies are dealing with a stack of claims that just keeps on growing.

6,500 claims in just two weeks, including many from the West Central Region.

Around $60 million worth of Saskatchewan crops have been lost to hail in the last month alone.

Rob Gorus from the Canadian Crop Hail Association says, to make it worse, they had another 3,500 claims filed at the end of July to deal with.

Gorus says his insurance agents are over-run with fields to check and is asking farmers to be patient as they handle all of the claims.

If you did have some hail damage and are waiting for an agent to check the fields but would like to continue harvesting, check with your agent and there might be something that can be arranged.
