The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting twenty-one new COVID-19 cases in the province during their daily COVID-19 update.

The break down of the cases has five cases in Saskatoon, fourteen cases in Central East, and two cases in the South West. 

This brings the provincial total number of cases to 1,709, with 83 of the cases considered active.

In the southwest region, there are three active cases.

There were four more recoveries reported today, bringing the provincial total to 1,602.

Two people are in hospital receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.

Investigations completed thus far have found that 15 of the 21 new cases reported today and 33 of the 83 current active cases are from communal living settings.

The total number of COVID deaths remains at 24.

To date, there have been 156,876 COVID-19 tests done in the province.

Yesterday, 1,544 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
