In the February 12 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 195 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 195 new cases there are 21 in the Far North West zone, 5 in the Far North Central zone, 9 in the Far North East zone, 16 in the North West zone, 19 in the North Central zone, 9 in the North East zone, 54 in the Saskatoon zone, 9 in the Central West zone, 6 in the Central East zone, 27 in the Regina zone, 5 in the South Central zone, and 10 in the South East zone.

There are currently 5 cases with pending residence information.

Five pending residence cases have been assigned as follows - 1 to the Far North West zone, 1 to the Far North East zone, and 3 to the Regina zone.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 26,145, of which 1,900 are considered active.

There are currently 3 active cases in the South West zone.  One active case is in the South West subzone 1 and 2 active cases are in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 170 (13.9 per cases per 100,000 population).

Two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One death was reported in the 40-49 age group from the Saskatoon zone, and one death was reported in the 80+ age group from the Central East zone.

That brings the provincial total number of deaths related to COVID-19 to 350.

There are 256 more recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 23,895.

There are 182 people in hospital. One hundred and fifty-nine people are receiving inpatient care - 4 in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North East zone, 17 in the North West zone, 20 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 54 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 10 in the Central East one, 46 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 3 in the South East zone.

There are 23 people in intensive care - 2 in the North West zone, 1 in the North Central zone, 9 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Central East zone and 8 in the Regina zone.

There is 1 person in intensive care in the South West zone.

To date, there has been 538,087 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And on February 10, there were 2,694 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 525 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 46,788. With this, 101% of the doses received have been administered to date. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received.

Saskatchewan will receive less Moderna vaccine than originally expected for the week of February 22. In light of this reduction, the Ministry of Health and the Saskatchewan Health Authority will need to review distribution plans.
