This weekend is all about celebration -- with the final day of Frontier Days followed by Canada Day, the long weekend is packed with events to enjoy during the time off of work and school. 


9 a.m.

Vendors will be under the big tent at Market Square this morning, which will feature multiple live performances and a drive-by of the Frontier Days Parade.

10 a.m.

Frontier Days Parade will traipse across the city this morning with the theme Ignite the Spirit of Culture. Leaving from the Innovation Plex, several floats will travel around tossing candy to young onlookers, winding things down at Gibbs Street.

12 p.m.

Westcoast Amusement Midway rides and the Commercial Exhibits open up at noon today, with fun for the whole family at Kinetic Park. Catch the Adventure Wranglers, view the West Wing Gallery, and enjoy several performances at the Culture Stage throughout the afternoon.

2 p.m.

The 2024 Frontier Days Canadian Cowboys Association (CCA) Rodeo gets underway early today from Kinetic Park. Head down to the Magnus Newland Arena at the south end of the fairgrounds for some great entertainment and fun. 

8 p.m.

Ikons of Rock will get the crowd headbanging at the Grandstands tonight, playing classic hairband hits from the 70s and 80s. This crew does more than just sing; the commitment to do these legends justice is evident in their physical transformations and energetic stage presence.  

10:30 p.m.

Previous American Idol contestant Brayden King will be performing in Swift Current for the first time at the cabaret tonight, sure the get everyone dancing to some country hits.

11 p.m. 

Ending the night with a bright bang, the Living Sky Casino Fireworks Show will light up the sky at 11 p.m., visible from nearly every corner of the fairgrounds. 


12 p.m.

Tourism Swift Current is hosting a free Canada Day lunch at Market Square on Monday in conjunction with a flag rising. Lunch will include a hot dog and Canada Day Cupcake provided by the City of Swift Current and Southwest Newcomer Welcome Centre.
