As the end of summer approaches, testing for West Nile Virus is being scaled back in some parts of the province.

But what about here in the southwest?

Acting Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Imbrahim Kahn says that testing is continuing all around the region, with mosquito trapping still frequent.

Kahn adds there is still the risk to contract the disease, so take the proper precautions of wearing an insect repellent and avoid being outside at dusk and dawn.
