The Swift Current Innovation Credit Union U18 AAA Wildcats earned a weekend split with a 4-1 win over the Prince Albert Northern Bears on Sunday at Art Hauser Centre.

Jerzey Watteyne opened the scoring on the power play early in the first period, with Julia Cey responding for Prince Albert midway through the second period. Sadie Keller got the lead back for Swift Current late in the second, then Addison Eurich made it 3-1 midway through the third period before Keller put it away with an empty-netter with just over a minute left in the game.

Watteyne added three assists for a four-point game and Eurich, Keller and Tess Bakus also had helpers. Karlee Lehner made 39 saves for the win as Prince Albert outshot Swift Current 40-25.

The Wildcats wrap up the first half of the SFU18AAAHL season with a 13-5-0-0 record and are in second in the league standings behind the Regina Rebels. Swift Current returns to action when they visit the Notre Dame Hounds on January 7.
