The Swift Current 57's are the WMBL's second-hottest team, picking up their fifth straight win on the road yesterday afternoon.

A 5-3 victory over the Weyburn Beavers leaves the 57's five-game win streak second in the league, behind only a nine-game streak from the Okotoks Dawgs.

The 57's received a big boost from second baseman Ruben Rodriguez at the plate in the win.

The product of El Paso, Texas went 4-for-5 at the dish with two doubles and two RBI, and now now boasts a .583 average on the season - though that just spans 12 at-bats over three games thus far.

Left fielder Myles Miller added a pair of RBI as well, and Blake Adams recorded his tenth stolen base along with his tenth RBI of his short season.

Starter Garrett Hawkins gave the 57's a steady start on the mound going six innings, giving up two runs on five hits. He now owns a 2.31 earned-run average on the 2018 campaign.

The 57's go for win number six at home tonight against the Yorkton Cardinals, with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
