The Swift Current 57's jumped out to an early lead Sunday afternoon in Weyburn but the Beavers managed to battle their way back and earn a weekend split with the 57's.

Having already defeated Weyburn 3-2 on Saturday, Swift Current returned to Tom Laing Park on Sunday and got the bats rolling early.

The 57's jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, but Weyburn would quickly respond before taking control.

In the bottom of the 3rd when the Beavers got to Swift Current Starting Pitcher Fernando Pena for the first time pushing two runs across the plate to tie the game.

With the game tied 3-3 heading to the bottom of the 5th, the Beavers used an RBI single and a three-run bomb to take a commanding 7-3 lead.

Swift Current was able to answer with two runs in the top of the 6th, however, that would be as close as the 57's would get, ultimately falling 8-5.

Despite the loss, 57's Third Baseman continued his strong start to the season.

The Wadsworth, Ohio native went 2 for 4 picking up his 7th RBI of the season and 6th stolen base, while improving his batting average to .353.

Along with Campbell, Blake Adams also stayed hot for Swift Current.

Adams collected three hits to improve his average to .406. He also knocked in his 12 RBI of the season and stole his third and fourth bases of the season.

The 57's will now turn the page to Monday night where they will battle the Beavers for a third straight day.

The two teams will meet at Mitchell Field, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.
