Aneroid's own Patrick Marleau has inked a three-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs worth $18.75 million.

Marleau departs San Jose after spending 19 seasons with the Sharks, who selected him 2nd overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, one spot behind former teammate Joe Thornton. The three-time NHL all-star leaves Califonia as the Sharks all-time leader in goals scored with 508, points 1,082 and games played 1,493.

The 37-year-old scored 27 times and recording 46 points while playing in all 82 games this past season. The former Sharks captain hasn't missed a game since 2009 and has appeared in 624 consecutive contests.
