With the kids headed back to school on Tuesday after the long weekend, The Shaunavon Swimming Pool has closed their doors for the season.

The final activity at the pool was their annual Doggie Swim, which took place yesterday from four until six thirty.

Dana Dale is the Director of Wellness and Leisure for The Town of Shaunavon. She said, "At the end of the year, the seasons closed already. We shut off all the chemicals and everything, and actually the temperature gets shut down at the pool. Then the dogs can go for a swim in whichever pool they choose."

About eight canines enjoyed the pool last evening at a cost of five dollars per dog.

All money raised will go to maintenance and upgrades at the pool.
