The Town of Gull Lake will be flushing fire hydrants from May 10-14.

Residents of the community may notice periodic interruptions in water supply and many also notice a discoloration of the water.

This discoloration is due to the unsettling of sediment within the water mains during the flushing process, and is not harmful for consumption.

The discoloration could, however, affect the washing of clothing, particularly whites.

To remove any discoloration in the water residents are advised to leave a tap run for a short period of time until the water clears.
