After this past weekend's storm, southwest communities are busy cleaning up.

In Shaunavon, town crews are busy removing snow.

Ron Phillips, Director of Operations for The Town of Shaunavon, says the snow is much too heavy to blow so they have just moved the snow into piles.

Town crews have worked to clear essential areas including the hospital, the airport and the downtown.

Phillips says they are working on other areas as needed. "Well, they can let us know if there's a drift and we haven't made it around there whatever.  If they want to call the office and let them know that would be fine."

He adds with warmer temperatures on the way, the snow will melt quickly.
