The 37th year of The Shaunavon Horse Show wrapped up this past weekend at the Ron Winquist Arena west of Shaunavon.

After 37 successful years Show Secretary, Joanne Thronberg, talked about why it stays so popular. "It's a lot of community spirit and a lot of horse interest I guess in the surrounding Southwest corner."

This year's show featured 88 classes in senior, junior, and pee wee categories, and there were 72 horses taking part. Thronberg said that number is close to being a record for them.

She added that there are no dollar amounts raised available, but all money goes back into The Horse Show for next year.
