The Swift Current Broncos have a chance to vastly improve their playoff dreams this weekend facing a divisional rival.

They'll open a home-and-home series tonight with the league-worst Medicine Hat Tigers at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex.

Swift Current had claimed four of the six regular-season games against their Trans-Canada Highway foes, outscoring the Tigers 19-13. Medicine Hat however won the most recent meeting on March 5, 2-0.

The Broncos enter the pivotal weekend set coming off a 6-3 win in Prince Albert Wednesday night to sit 11th in the Eastern Conference standings just two points behind the Regina Pats for the final playoff spot. While the Tigers are 12th in the conference 23 points back of Swift Current.

Broncos buffs can catch all of tonight's action on the Eagle 94.1 with the pregame show commencing at 6:30 p.m. and puck drop just over a half-hour later.

Both teams will then reunite back in the Gas City Saturday night for a rematch.
