The Swift Current Broncos will continue a five-game homestand this weekend with games against the Edmonton Oil Kings tonight and the WHL-leading Saskatoon Blades on Saturday.

The Broncos have won three of their last four games, bolstered in part by stellar goaltending from Reid Dyck, who was named the WHL's Goalie of the Week earlier this week.

"I haven't had the best luck with injuries, so being able to get an acknowledgement like that feels pretty good," he said. "There are still things I got to work on, but I think as a team they played really good in front of me and it's kind of helped me ease back into it a lot."

Fans coming to the game tonight are encouraged to bring donations for Telemiracle with the Swift Current Kinettes passing a bucket through the crowd with all the money collected going toward this year's telethon, set for February 24 and 25 in Regina. Ten-year-old Bella "Brave" Thomson, who is a past recipient of funding from Telemiracle, will be in attendance for a ceremonial puck drop before the game.

"You see how important that charity is, and no matter where you go, there's something big going on for Telemiracle in every small town and in every locale here in Saskatchewan, so we're excited to be part of it," said Mat Barrett, the Broadcast and Community Relations Manager for the Broncos.

Saturday's game against Saskatoon is also Charlie Horse's birthday with his mascot buddies joining him for the celebration, and there will be birthday cake for fans before the game.

Both games start at 7:00pm from Innovationplex with Redhead Equipment Case IH Broncos Hockey starting at 6:45pm on Country 94.1 FM.
