A Swift Current church is hosting a unique pitstop for little trick-or-treaters this evening.

The Trailview Alliance Church will have about a dozen vehicles set up for a trunk-or-treating event.

Kristin Patzer, the children's ministry coordinator for the church, said they haven't offered this Halloween activity in about six or seven years.

"It's a nice fun little pitstop we have that people can make on their evening out for Halloween," she said. "It's all just fun stuff, not spooky or scary parts. So, if people have kids who are intimidated by those parts, it's a safe place they can bring them."

In addition to obtaining goodies from the various vehicles, the church will also open its doors.

"We'll also have a space inside where families can come and warm up and have some hot chocolate or coffee," she said.

The weather conditions will hamper some trick-or-treaters with temperatures projected at -2 to -3 C, this event could be the perfect one-stop for little ones.

"You can just come to one spot and get it all done without having to brave the cold and go all the way down the street," she said.

Trunk or treat will run from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
