The Cookies for a Cause fundraiser is coming to Gull Lake for the first time on Wednesday, April 10 with tons of sweet treats.

The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation partnered with Gull Lake Ambulance and The Grainery Bakery to transform the successful Swift Current fundraiser into something new for the Town of Gull Lake.

Scott Anderson, development and major gifts coordinator for the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation, is excited to raise funds for local organizations in Gull Lake.

“Our partners at Gull Lake EMS, we’re going to share the proceeds with them,” said Anderson “As well as giving proceeds to the Gull Lake Special Care Home for an equipment purchase.”

Each order includes a dozen fresh-baked cookies, monster cookies or chocolate chip cookies, made fresh that morning by The Grainery Bakery.

“The response right off the hop has been overwhelming,” Anderson said.

Anyone can sign up to order Cookies for a Cause, and they will be bringing cookies to Swift Current as well.

“You can participate and certainly jump on board,” he added.

Southwest community members who are interested in ordering or considering helping, can contact the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation at (306)778-7392 or visit either of the three organizations on social media.
