A free event coming to the southwest will explore self-awareness and highlight cultural humility, guided by Melody Wood in Elbow and Mistusinne.

The day-long course will run from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at the Harbor Golf Community Centre on Lakeside Road.

The event aims to teach community members about cultural differences and Indigenous relationships with others as well as the land.

Attendees are reminded to bring weather-appropriate clothing, as the group will visit the sacred Buffalo Child Stone.

Additionally, lunch and snacks will be provided and limited seating is available, with a maximum of 25 participants.

Anyone interested can register online through Southwest District for Culture, Recreation, and Sport, Inc. before the deadline on June 4.
