A burn that got out of control in a farm yard south of Shaunavon yesterday afternoon had fire crews and neighbors battling the blaze.

Shaunavon Fire Chief, Merrick Goldstein, said the Fire Department was called out at approximately two o'clock and spend about seven hours battling the fire that engulfed multiple cars in the farm yard, threatened the house and burnt about 20 acres of pasture.

Goldstein added that there were no injuries reported, and said that the help of neighbors with their water tanks was much appreciated.
