Yesterday for the first time since the new helipad became operational early this month, STARS air ambulance picked up a patient from Swift Current.
STAR-9 made the 1st landing on the new heliport at Cypress Regional Hospital (Swift Current, Sask) recently. We had been landing at the airport since late 2017, so this new pad enables a more efficient patient transfer. Swift Current is served by our Saskatoon and Regina bases. pic.twitter.com/EvxtjmS2iC

In Saskatchewan STARS flies out of Saskatoon and Regina, but this helicopter came and returned with the patient to the Queen City.
According to STARS the crew said the transfer went smoothly.
The helipad is located directly on the east side of the Cypress Regional Hospital.
