Fred Farnworth,Shaunavon's 2017 Citizen of the Year.

 

The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce 2017 Citizen of the Year is Fred Farnworth.

Fred has volunteered for approximately 43 years in Shaunavon, putting in an estimated 12,000 hours of community work.

Fred has been the voice of the Shaunavon Badgers, Shaunavon Minor Hockey, Shaunavon Senior Men's Baseball, Youth Ball, Mens and Ladies Fastball, and high school football. And that's not all..Fred has also volunteered for mc-ing banquets, for Darkhorse Theatre, does Bingo Calling and Bowling Awards, just to name a few.

The Gala Banquet honoring Fred Farnworth goes this Saturday May 6th at the Catholic Church Hall in Shaunavon.
