It’s crunch time as the deadline closes in on the annual Cookies for a Cause campaign.

The made from scratch cookies are a delicacy of local talents at Made. Café featuring Flatland Foods, and every purchase goes towards healthcare for all in the southwest.

Crystal Imrie, communications officer for the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation, said the Valentine’s Day fundraiser is a sweet way to help the community while treating someone you love.

“This year, we're doing six iced sugar cookies, along with six chocolate crinkle cookies, which I'm told is one of their top selling cookies, and I can attest to they are fantastic,” she said. “They send them to teachers, they send them to their favorite business. We've had them sent to the maternity ward at the hospital to say thank you to all the nurses over there. So, it's really a great way to thank people...and get a sweet treat, too.”

This year’s boxes feature six iced sugar cookies and six chocolate crinkle cookies—a top seller at the local café.

Staff from the Foundation will deliver the cookie orders starting around 10 a.m. on Valentine’s Day.
