Two days ago Baseball Sask outlined a two-phase return-to-play plan, with the first phase including practices, tryouts, registration, and team meetings. And now they've announced that they have the go-ahead from the province to begin that initial phase.

On Baseball Sask's website, Executive Director Mike Ramage posted a letter from Nancy Kangethe, a client services representative with the province's business response team.

The letter says the updated reopen Saskatchewan plan lifted several restrictions, including those on baseball. Kangethe is cited as saying the province is no longer preventing sports and recreational activities for children or adults, "including activities taking place on soccer fields, volleyball and basketball courts, baseball diamonds, lawn bowling greens, and football fields."

The letter also says the province is encouraging teams to train, practise, and scrimmage within their own team (no games against other teams), and that more information on competitions will be released in a future update on the re-opening of Saskatchewan.
