Rock Solid Refuge held their Run For Restoration this past Saturday, with a number of students and staff running eight miles from the Dollard town limits to Meeting Grounds Coffee House in Shaunavon.

Dallas Block is The Executive Director of Rock Solid Refuge. He said two staff members, Chris Stregger and Andrew Robertson came up with the idea for the run to raise awareness. "We need to raise awareness for what we're actually doing here at Rock Solid, and one of the ways that we raise money is through student sponsorships called Partner for Change. And Andrew and Chris really wanted to raise awareness for that sponsorship program and see if we could get fifty more student sponsorships."

Block added that the weather cooperated perfectly, and they would certainly like to see it go ahead again next year with the possibility of a few changes.

People can sponsor a student and will receive a picture, bio, and regular updates on that student, as well as the opportunity to write to the student and receive an invitation to their graduation.
