Legionnaires welcome Warriors tonight

The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires will look to keep a great thing going when they host the Moose Jaw WINMAR Warriors tonight.

The Legionnaires have won 12 of their last 13 games and are third in the SMAAAHL standings with a 12-3-0-1 record, which helped earn them a spot in the prestigious Circle K Classic next month in Calgary. The Warriors, meanwhile, sit ninth in the league standings at 5-7-0-3, but are two points back of a three-team tie for sixth.

Face-off is at 8:00pm tonight from InnovationPlex.

U15 Broncos win big in Moose Jaw

The Pure Chem U15 AA Broncos rolled to a 7-3 victory over Moose Jaw Monday night in the Friendly City. 

Chase Petersen had four goals for the Broncos and Carter Moen, Porter Nickason and Tysen Kobley also scored. Mason Fauser added three assists and Cole Fox made 27 saves for the win. 

The South Division-leading Broncos host the Warriors in their next league game on December 7.

Devils beat Oilers for record-tying 13th straight win

The New Jersey Devils keep on rolling. They won a franchise record-tying 13th game in a row with a 5-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night. Nico Hischier had three assists for the Devils. 

In other NHL action, Blake Coleman had a goal and two assists as the Calgary Flames beat Philadelphia 5-2 on the road, and Josh Morrissey scored the overtime winner as the Winnipeg Jets edged Carolina 4-3. 

Elsewhere, the Islanders beat the Maple Leafs 3-2 in OT, the Sharks routed the Senators 5-1 and Vegas rallied to beat Vancouver 5-4. Montreal hosts Buffalo and the LA Kings entertain the New York Rangers in NHL action tonight.

Just one game in the WHL tonight has the Winnipeg ICE hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Swift Current Broncos return to action Friday at home against Edmonton.

Niners hammer Cardinals in Mexico City

Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns as the San Francisco 49ers picked up their third win in a row with a 38-10 blowout over the Arizona Cardinals at Mexico City’s revered Azteca Stadium.

It was the fifth time the NFL had played a regular season game in Mexico since 2005.

England rolls past Iran in World Cup action, Saudi Arabia stuns Argentina

England rolled to a 6-2 win over Iran in FIFA World Cup action in Qatar on Monday while Wales drew the USA 1-1 in their first World Cup match since 1958.

Earlier this morning, Saudi Arabia got past Argentina 2-1 in one of the biggest upsets of the tournament so far. The loss snapped a 36-match unbeaten streak for Argentina in what could be Lionel Messi's final World Cup.

The defending champions from France battle Australia to wrap up a four-match schedule today. Canada faces Belgium tomorrow.
