Weekend calls for service January 13 - 15
5:24 PM - 911 call of a dispute in a dwelling unit on the 200 block of 5th Avenue NW. Officers attended and spoke to the sole male occupant of the suite who was just having a bad day.
11:13 AM - Request to conduct a wellbeing check on the caller's son. This matter is still under investigation.
11:41 AM - Report of a mischief at a dwelling unit on the O block of 1st Avenue NE involving a tenant entering a storage closet. Police were able to speak with the property owner a short time later who confirmed there was no damage and the tenant had simply opened an unlocked door.
1:47 PM - Report of a male yelling and banging on the caller's door at a dwelling unit on the O block of 1st Avenue NE.
There have been on-going disputes between the two neighbours. Police attended and spoke to the male who was given a
verbal warning about causing a disturbance and would be arrested if police had to return.
2:53 PM - Report of a female coming to the caller's house asking her to contact police. Police attended and spoke to the female who had been with a male she no longer wanted in her presence. Officers provided the female a courtesy ride to a different location.
5:31 PM - Report of a hit and run to the caller's white Ford Mustang while parked on the 500 block of Central Avenue N. There are no suspects or witnesses.
8:32 PM - Report of illegal dumping on South Railway Street E. The caller advised he believes he saw a truck dumping stuff along the tracks on South Railway Street E. The caller said he did not see anything dumped and that it was more of a feeling he had of what was taking place. No other details were able to be provided about the truck. Officers made patrols but nothing suspicious was observed in the area.
11:35 PM - 911 call of a white GMC Terrain hitting the caller's parked green Ford F250 while parked on the 0 block of 3rd Avenue SE and then driving away causing damage to both vehicles. A plate number for the Terrain was able to be provided by the caller. Police made patrols, locating the vehicle and conducting a roadside alcohol screening test on the
female driver that she failed. The female was arrested and transported to the Detachment for further testing. This matter is still under investigation.
12:28 AM - Report of a noise complaint at a dwelling unit on the 0 block of 1st Avenue NE. Officers attended but the complex was quiet.
7:10 AM - Report of an unknown person banging on the caller's door on the 800 block of Highland Drive. Police spoke with
the caller who did not see anyone or any unusual vehicles outside. Officers made patrols but did not locate anything suspicious in the area.
9:03 AM - Report of a building on 4th Avenue NE having the door vandalized with spray paint. Officers attended and determined marker was used and was able to be cleaned off. There are no suspects or witnesses.
10:46 AM - Request to conduct a wellbeing check on the caller's friend who will not answer her door. Officers attended the friend's location, and she answered the door.
3:34 PM - Found ring was turned into the Detachment and placed into the lost and found.
5:08 PM - While on patrol, officers issued a ticket to the driver of a black GMC Sierra for window tint under the Traffic Safety Act.
5:58 PM - Report of a strange smell in a dwelling unit on the O block 1st Avenue NE. The caller did not know what the smell was or where it was coming from and was advised it was not a police matter.
7:06 PM - Report of the caller seeing a male at a business on the 900 block of Chaplin Street E with tattoos after seeing a
post on social media about a stolen truck and the suspect having tattoos. The caller did not see a truck at the business or where the truck had been stolen from. Officers made patrols by the business, but no trucks were present.
9:42 PM - Report of an unwanted male sleeping in the entrance to a location on the 2000 block of Saskatchewan Drive. Officers attended and the male left without issue.
10:05 PM - While on patrol, officers issued a written warning to the driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado for having no mud flaps on the vehicle.
