In the daily COVID-19 update for August 20 from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of four new cases of the virus in the province.

Of the four new cases, one is in Saskatoon, and three are in the South Central Zone.

This brings the provincial number of cases to 1,590, of which 149 are considered active.

Investigations completed thus far have found that 99 of the 149 active cases are in communal living settings.

In the South West there are a total of 46 active cases of the virus.

There have been nine more recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 1,419.

There are five people in hospital. One person is receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon, and four people are in intensive care, all in Saskatoon.

There have been 22 COVID-19 related deaths.

To date 126,624 COVID-19 tests have been done, with 1,443 COVID-19 tests done yesterday in Saskatchewan.
