In the August 26 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority there are a reported three new cases of the virus in the province.

There has been no information given on the location of the new cases,

That brings the provincial total of cases in Saskatchewan to 1,604. Of those cases 60 are considered active.

Investigations completed thus far have found that 24 of the 60 active cases in the province are in communal living settings.

There are 21 active COVID-19 cases in the South West.

One more person with COVID-19 has died. This person was in the South West zone and in the 50-59 age range.

That brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 24.

There are three people in hospital. One person is receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon, and two people are in intensive care in Saskatoon.

There have been 30 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,520.

To date, 135,518 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

Yesterday, there were 1,186 COVID-19 tests performed.
