In the July 30 COVID-19 update The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting another death in the province.

One person in the South who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. This person was in the 90-99 year age range.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 18.

There are 38 new cases of COVID-19 reported today. That brings the provincial total to 1,306.

New cases are 14 from the Central Region, 12 from the North, 6 from the South, 5 from Saskatoon, and 1 from the Far North Region.

Of the 38 cases reported investigations completed thus far have found 23 cases are from multiple communal living settings across the province.

Of the 1,306 reported cases, 304 are considered active.

In the South there are now 119 active cases.

There are a reported 55  recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 984.

Fourteen people are in hospital. Nine people are receiving inpatient care-three in Saskatoon, one in the Central Region, four in the South, and one in Regina.

There are currently five people in intensive care-three in Saskatoon and two in Regina.

To date, 96,706 COVID-19 tests have been done in the province.

Yesterday 1,682 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
