In the August 11 daily COVID-19 update, the Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 29 new cases of the virus.

The new cases include 17 in Saskatoon, 4 in Regina, 4 in the South West, 4 in the South Central, and 1 in the North West zone.

The location of one case is pending.

Of the 17 cases reported in the Saskatoon zone, 11 are in communal living settings outside of the City of Saskatoon.

This brings the provincial total of cases of 1,479. Of those 1,479 cases, 165 are considered active.

In the South West zone there are 22 active cases.

There have been a total of 29 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total of people who have recovered to 1,294.

There are 11 people in hospital. Six are receiving inpatient care-3 in Saskatoon, 1 in Regina, 1 in the South West, and 1 in the South Central.

There are five people in intensive care - 3 in Saskatoon, 1 in the North Central Region, and 1 in the South West.

Deaths related to COVID-19 in the province remain at 20 reported to date.

As of today, 113, 972 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

Yesterday, 927 tests were performed.
