The Innovation Credit Union U18 AAA Wildcats picked up a 3-1 win over the Battlefords Sharks in a neutral site game at Rosetown's AGT Centre on Saturday.

After a scoreless first, Jerzey Watteyne opened the scoring on the power play at 6:04 of the second period, and then Alexie Palchinski tied it up for the Sharks at 4:35 of the third. The stalemate held up until the late stages of the final frame, when Calla Kampen broke the tie with a power play marker with 1:46 left, and Watteyne added an empty-netter to seal the game for the Wildcats.

Sadie Keller had two assists for Swift Current and Paige Fischer made 24 saves for the victory. The Wildcats outshot the Sharks 31-25.

The Wildcats (10-3-0-0) are now in a three-way tie with Regina and Notre Dame for first in the SFU18AAAHL and will take on the Sharks again for two more games next weekend in Battleford.
