Cody Eakin and Broncos Governor Al Stewart

Former Broncos Captain Cody Eakin will be getting another taste of the NHL playoffs.

The Washington Capitals have called Eakin back up to the NHL after the Hershey Bears were eliminated from the American Hockey League Playoffs.

He started the NHL's second season as a healthy scratch in Washington before getting sent back to the Bears.

Eakin collected 1 assist in Hersey's 5 game opening round loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

He scored 8 points in 30 NHL games this season and 27 points in 43 AHL games.

The Capitals and New York Rangers resume their tied second round series tomorrow in Washington.

Tonight Shaunavon's Braydon Coburn and the Philadelphia Flyers host the New Jersey Devils.

Philadelphia leads the series 1-0.
