Folks in Shaunavon will be able to get themselves a hot dog for a cause tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

That'll be because the folks at Western Financial Group (WFG) in Shaunavon will be hosting the fundraiser through the Western Financial Communities Foundation, which aims to help communities in which WFG operates.

Employees at WFG will be conducting the hot dog sale, where all the proceeds from everyone who buys a weiner and a pop going towards Shaunavon Food Bank.

Allison Greenlay, an insurance advisor for WFG, hopes to see plenty of folks come out for the day.

"In front of our office here, hoping for some sunshine and no wind, so our BBQs stay lit and go for it," said Greenlay.

There will also be some baking going on, with WFG employees preparing the food and all of those proceeds also going back into the food bank.

"We have six people in our office, and we all just do the BBQ, cooking, and baking."

The choice of donating to the food bank was made all the way back at the start of the year when they got together to decide which part of the community they would support with their fundraiser.

"We chose to give to the Shaunavon Food Bank," said Greenlay. "As soon as any funds come in from this, they go straight to the food bank."

Folks will be able to enjoy their fundraising purchases out in front of the WFG office in Shaunavon, with part of the street closed down and picnic tables ready to go.
