SaskPower's third 'Power Talks' series is underway, southwest residents attending today's noon-hour session will hear about managing the costs of electricity and affordable power.

The series of four talks are all free to attend and cover various topics that highlight SaskPower's plan to support the province.

Scott McGregor, media consultant for SaskPower, is keen to educate people about energy and help promote sustainable power for the future.

"They're an hour long and they feature subject matter experts talking about the topic of the day," said McGregor. "It's a really great opportunity for people to learn what goes into our future supply planning, what considerations we take into account when we're planning different options and different ways we can power the future."

The next 'Power Talk' is scheduled for May 29 from 12 - 1 p.m. and will focus on the distribution system and residential needs of the future in terms of power.

Community members interested in attending one of the sessions can register at SaskPower.com/PowerTalks.
