Local race enthusiasts and thrill seekers can head down to the Swift Current Airport this weekend to cheer on the drag races.

The Swift Current Drag Racing Association will hold races on Saturday and Sunday, with doors open at 8 a.m. and races beginning at 10 a.m.

Bob Schafer, president of the Swift Current Drag Racing Association, encourages anyone interested to stop by the races to catch some of the action.

"It looks like the weather is going to be fantastic," he said. "It looks like we're going to have a good weekend to do some drag racing in Swift Current."

Additionally, food and snacks will be available onsite at Mama T's Bistro food truck.

Admission is $10 per person, children under the age of 12 are free, and drivers with their racecar pay a fee of $80.
