It's been a busy season for CPR maintenance crews.

Business is good and the people who work for the CPR are looking forward to more growth in the future.

With summer maintenance crews working out of Moose Jaw this summer, and recently the Swift Current area, the local roster of CPR employees has grown to about 500 men and women.

Dave Hoppenreys is the CPR's Service Area Manager for Field Operations in Saskatchewan.  Hoppenreys says work continues on the CPR main line this summer with some new track and new ties going in between Moose Jaw and Swift Current.

The CPR Main Line between Moose Jaw and Swift Current sees 28 to 30 trains a day.
