Lottery ticket claim periods are being extended in support of COVID-19 distancing.

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation, in alignment with other Canadian lottery regions, made the change recognizing that efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 have affected lottery players ability to claim their prizes.

Prizes on tickets that would have expired from March 17 to September 17 of 2020 are now valid for an additional six months.

Ordinarily, tickets  for draw-based games expire one year after their draw date.

The extension applies to lottery games including: Draw-based games including LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, DAILY GRAND, WESTERN MAX,WESTERN 649,EXTRA, PICK 2/3/4, POKER LOTTO, and ALL-IN and KENO.
