The Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce has announced some help for its members.

In an effort to offer some help to member businesses who may be struggling during COVID -19 the Chamber has passed a motion to offer one year free Chamber membership for 2020 or 2021 to all businesses who are members in good standing for 2019.

Chamber of Commerce President, Joanne Gregoire, said, "We just realized that with the pandemic a lot of our businesses are struggling..some have had to close altogether..and it's just not a good scene out there for business necessarily. It's just a bit of a way for the Chamber to say thank you to our members. Ya know, a lot of our members have been with us for a long time and have been great supporters, and it's just our turn to try to give back and help them in any little way that we can."

If you have already paid your 2020 membership you have two options:

1) If the pandemic has significantly impacted your business cash flow, the Chamber will refund your 2020 membership fee to you, making your 2020 membership free. You must contact the Chamber by email by five p.m. on Wednesday April 15 to request the refund.

2) If your business can reasonably sustain the expense of your membership in 2020, you will be given a free membership for 2021.

And, if you have not yet paid your 2020 membership you have two options:

1) Contact the Chamber by email by five p.m. on Wednesday April 15 to let us know that you like your 2020 membership free.

2) Pay your 2020 membership by April 15 and you will be give a free membership for 2021. The discounted rate of $135.00 has been extended to the April 15 deadline.

Gregoire added that the Chamber appreciates their many long standing member businesses and they want them to continue to enjoy the benefits of membership through this pandemic and beyond.
