Two southwest RCMP detachments are still on scene near Mortlach tending to a multi-semi collision. 

The Moose Jaw and Morse RCMP responded to the incident just west of the village, when at least five semis were involved in collisions and another semi jackknifed fifteen minutes ago when the kilometers-long lineup started moving slowly again.

The section of road is on a downward slope and the highway is pure ice according to a Saskatchewan RCMP Media release. 

Officers are asking motorists to use extreme caution if you are in the area as first responders are working to open the road and are outside of their vehicles.
