The Swift Current Pee Wee Girls Sonic softball team was in Moose Jaw for the 18-team Moose Jaw Ice U14B tournament over the weekend.

The Sonic opened up the tournament on Friday night against one of the host teams in the Moose Jaw Ice. The bats would start off hot for the Sonic as they won 19-2.

Saturday morning the hot bats would continue as the Sonic took on the Macklin Lakers and won 14-1.

On Sunday morning it was a battle for first place in Pool A, and a spot in the semi-finals as the Sonic played the Moose Jaw Twisters.

The game was tight until the fourth inning where the Sonic scored six runs to take a 10-3 lead and advance to the semi-final.

Sunday afternoon was the semi-final as the Sonic took on another undefeated team in the Southeast Hawks.

The game was back and forth, but after seven innings the Southeast Hawks would come out victorious with a 13-10 win.

The Sonic's return to action on July 3 when they travel to Kindersley to play two games, one against Leader and one against Kindersley. 

The Sonic then welcome 11 teams to Swift Current for the Pee Wee C Provincial Championships July 6 to 8.
