Southwest connoisseurs of tea and casual tea tasters alike are drawn to Tea Social Hours where they connect, learn, and participate in workshops.

Tea Social Hours are hosted by the local company, The Cat and The Rabbit at the Swift Current Museum on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Pip Hunter, owner of The Cat and The Rabbit, enjoys providing the opportunity for people of similar interests to bond in a fun way.

"They get to sample teas that we sell through our store as well as get a more educational and immersive experience," said Hunter.

Coming up on Tuesday, April 2 the group will have the chance to learn about 'The Discovery to Tea', including teaware, the main tea producers, the history, and more.

"Each class has its own different theme," Hunter noted. "From the history of tea to a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, and a tea blending class."

The Tea Socials run from 2 - 4 p.m. and have a fee of $20 per person, which includes all materials and tea.

Those who are interested in attending can register by emailing TheCatandTheRabbit@gmail.com, call (808)319-7149, or check out The Cat and The Rabbit on social media.
