The public is being asked to limit their water use in the city.

A Water Conservation Advisory is in place. Sean Lopeter is the Manager of Engineering for the City. He says the hot, dry weather has been taxing on the water treatment plant.

As of yet, there are no specific restrictions, but the public is kindly asked to be aware of their water use.

Lopeter says if you do water your lawn, don’t water at the peak sun hours of the day.

As for the city, they are limiting the amount and time for irrigating parks, while non-essential hydrant and water main flushing and non-essential street cleanings will be stopped.
