Over a hundred women from all walks of life gathered for Swift Current’s first GrowHER Women’s Event, featuring female speakers from the southwest.

The event took place at the Living Sky Casino from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and included brunch, a gift bag, and a mimosa bar.

Ashley Hann, women’s business and life coach, was overjoyed to empower other women alongside motivational speaker and author, Darci Lang.

"Today was so fulfilling," said Hann. "I had the opportunity to mix and mingle with so many women in our community and I think we all just felt reinvigorated, reignited, and that's all we can hope from an event like this.

"We always start with this idea, this picture in our brain, and to watch that come to life, actually see smiling faces, and to see women have breakthrough moments, that was a definitely key takeaway for me today."

The presentation was geared towards rural women and highlighted the many roles women play every day, and finding confidence and authenticity.

"My biggest takeaway was the reset, like after COVID, and just being able to reconnect with our community, our women, and our people," noted Celina, a local attendee of the women's event.

Additionally, each attendee received a copy of Lang's book; 'Embrace the 90%', a treat from Made Cafe, a gift from Prairie Soul, and information about various local women-owned businesses.

"We actually have a five-year vision for the GrowHER women's event here in Swift Current so we are aiming to have another spring women's event in Swift Current area as well as other pop-up workshops," Hann added.
