As we told you earlier this morning, local Swift Current EMS Manager, Nelson Pompu, isn't too thrilled about comments made by Saskatchewan Party Highways Critic, Randy Weekes.

Weekes making the comment earlier this week that the Swift Current Ambulance refuses to make any trips along the hazardous Highway 32, Pompu says that isn't true, and they will provide service whenever necessary despite the hazards.

Weekes admits he left the wrong impression and says he meant Leader ambulance.

"The information about avoiding Highway 32 is when the ambulance is transferring patients from Leader to Swift Current and they'll avoid Highway 32 or refuse to take the Highway because the have better route going down on Highway 21," Weekes said.
