The Swift Current Wolverines moved to 4-1 on the PGLL Junior Lacrosse season with a pair of wins over the Regina Barracudas on Sunday in the Queen City.

Carter Michaluk had three goals and an assist and Adam Zanidean, Isaac Froese and Zealand Rainer added three points each as the Wolverines held off the Barracudas 11-10 in the opener. Austin Klimm scored the game-winner short-handed with 5:39 left in the third period.

In the second game, Michaluk added four more goals and three helpers for a seven-point game en route to a 13-8 win. Zanidean had a goal and five assists, Rainer added two goals and three assists, and Riley Pribyl had a goal and four helpers.

The Wolverines host the Moose Jaw Mustangs in their next game on May 27.

In minor lacrosse, a battle of Swift Current teams saw U13 Rampage #2 defeat Rampage #1 8-3 to kick off a full Saturday of action. U13 #1 beat Carlyle 6-0 and U13 #2 also picked up a 10-5 win over Carlyle.

The U11 Rampage fell 4-3 to Weyburn Thrashers #1 before defeating Weyburn Thrashers #2 8-3 on the road. The U15 Rampage defeated Moosomin 8-0 and Weyburn 6-2, and the U17 Rampage fell to Weyburn 5-3 and 6-2.
