The Swift Current 57's suffered a second-straight loss to the Fort McMurray Giants, falling 5-0 in five innings at Mitchell Field on Thursday after their game ended early because of rain.

Starter Lachlan Hockey struck out three batters and allowed two runs over three innings in a losing cause. The Giants got their offence going in the third inning as Darcy Barry scored on a wild pitch and Jayden Schafer came home on an RBI single from Benicio Diaz, then in the fourth inning, Michael Buckley and Jaden Wiley hit RBI singles and Buckley later came home on a wild pitch from Jacob Chandler.

The 57's (1-2) travel to Medicine Hat to face the Mavericks on Friday before returning to Mitchell Field to take on the Regina Red Sox on Saturday.
