A brand-new iteration of Tim Horton's Smile Cookies have made their way to Swift Current for the holiday season.

The special edition Holiday Smile Cookies will be available for purchase until December 11, with 100 per cent of proceeds going towards local organizations and Tims camps.

This season, a large portion of the proceeds made from the cookies will go directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association`s Swift Current Branch, explained Todd Vallee, executive director for the Swift Current branch of the CMHA.

“It was a fantastic holiday surprise when we were approached by the local ownership groups here of Tim Horton's in Swift Current,” he stated.  “We're just we're feeling warm and fuzzy over the Holiday Smile Cookie proceeds. You know, CMHA is benefiting, we're getting 90 per cent, 10 per cent goes to Tim Camps, which is a really great charity as well, sending kids to camp and we're over the moon.”

Vallee added that at this time there are no specific plans for how the funds will be used

“We haven't necessarily earmarked them for anything specific, but we know with the cost of living and food prices, the way they're going; We do run a meal program at CMHA, so, we'll find some really useful ways for those funds to be distributed throughout our organization,” he concluded.
